NOTE: During imaging, areas of your body not being imaged will remain draped unless you wish not to wear it. However, images of uncovered genitals cannot be submitted for interpretation to our interpreting service for a good reason* so please bring a thong to wear if you are having lower body imaging done. We have plenty of disposable thongs that you are welcome to, but they are not particularly comfortable and they don’t come in large. If you find large ones for sale, please let us know.
Scans of breasts from at least 3 angles, plus closeups (closeups not done by many clinics), also includes the axilla (armpits). Each breast assessed separately with a grade for risk plus assessed for thermal markers that may indicate hormonal imbalance in some people if present.
Allow 45-60 minutes. Can be done in 30 minutes if you wish but we allow plenty of time for questions and answers.
Our breast reports are very specific as to location of any findings. The report will state the specific location of any thermal markers so that you can easily track this area with confidence. Images in both color and black and white are included, plus a guide explaining the grading system and a copy of the medical literature: Infrared Imaging of the Breast, chapter 25 from the Biomedical Engineering Handbook: Devices and Systems… for you and your providers who want to know more about the science of using this technology to detect and monitor.
If your report mentions findings of thermal markers that may indicate hormone influence, a folder of articles about estrogen will also be included and you will be referred to your doctor to ensure that your health is protected.
Each report includes the doctor’s name, phone number and address that read your images. You will not get this at “fast food” thermography clinics.

*Most brands of high-end infrared cameras of the caliber needed to take medical images are also taking forensic images, meaning regular photographs, at the same time the infrared image is taken! This is needed in other fields such as for industrial uses. Our camera company chose to set itself apart by not including forensic functionality because they knew they wanted to focus on the medical field exclusively in which it is only a liability to have forensic functionality. Our interpreting doctors read images from other brands of cameras, most of which do have forensic functionality, and our interpreting team does not want to be liable about the issue of having unnecessary nude photos in their possession, so they make this blanket rule for everyone submitting images to them, i.e., the genital area must be covered in all images. Beware of any clinic not covering genital area. There is nothing to gain by imaging it, at least nothing published in at least two peer-reviewed respected medical journals with no fewer than 10,000 participants in each study that you will find.
